Raised in McAllen, Texas, Max Decker moved to New York to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse under Kathryn Gately while playing Carlos Reyes on All My Children.
He was offered a role in the 2002 Tony Award–winning play Take Me Out by Richard Greenberg before relocating to Los Angeles, where he began guest-starring on television opposite Jason Momoa on North Shore and working with directors like David Mamet on The Unit. He later joined the cast of J.J. Abrams' ABC pilot The Catch.
His on-camera credits span more than a dozen guest-starring roles — Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, NCIS: LA, Mayans M.C., 9-1-1: Lone Star, and others. As a director, his feature debut Retrograde Los Angeles earned 45 wins and 12 nominations on the festival circuit.

He is a Vogue Europe cover model and stars in the new Badlands feature Dangerous Games to Play in the Dark. He is currently on stage in the play Sunday in New York.
Crayton is Max Decker's writing and producing partner. Together, they are partnering with Trifecta Films to develop a contemporary reimagining of Romeo and Juliet, in which Crayton stars in the title role.
